Come and See
Do you sense the Lord's invitation to explore the possibility of a vocation to religious life? Do you have a desire to strive to follow Jesus in the footsteps of St. Francis in today's world, giving yourself over to a life of prayer, fraternity, and service to the poor and vulnerable? As you visit the pages of this website, are you attracted to what you see and read?
If you are a Catholic man or woman in good physical health who desires to live a consecrated religious life and are attracted to our way of life, perhaps the Lord is calling you to discern your vocation with our community. The Franciscans of the Eucharist of Chicago has branches for both women and men. Our men's branch is open to men who feel called to be Franciscan priests as well as those who feel called to be lay brothers.
Please visit this page to learn more about our vocation requirements.

A note for male discerners
While the sisters who assist with vocations work will likely be involved in helping to coordinate the logistical details your potential discernment visit or to answer questions, Bishop Bob remains the official vocation director and primary formator for our men's branch. As you move forward with discernment, you will be able to speak directly with Bishop Bob about life as a priest or brother in our community.
